Went for a visit to RAF DAVIDSTOW this morning unfortunately it is closed until easter so here is just a snippet of what I could see though the fence.

Having problems loading videos

I, m having a few problems uploading  the videos from this new camera even though my laptop is a Sony Vaio and its only 2 years old its out of date with the camera. This video your watching has took 30mins to upload no good when your mobile.So do i upgrade the computer or down grade the video camera.

Had a few hours of sunshine this morning so I made the best of it by having a little walk to the beach.

5 months full time

Hi everybody its been 5 months since I sold up and went full time motorhoming and I am enjoying it.One thing I'm glad I did before I sold up completely was to do a few years research and a year of living in the van while I had the house on the market. In that year I did everything in the van going to the house only to collect post and use my desktop  computer.I found that living in the van allowed me to find out one or two things that I could not possibly live with full-time. 1. Making the bed up every night and taking it down every morning was for me a painful task.   2.Not having things you use on a daily basis to hand can be annoying but this would not be as annoying having a untidy van considering the small amount of space we have to live in.
 To be honest that's about all that the only real downers I can think of but remember we are all deferent and what worries one is of no rellivence to another. Working out a buget is also a good idea but again this will deferent for each case it was helpful living in the van for the year because this did allow me to log my expenses for the year. Bear in mind I had no real fuel costs for that first year because I stayed within a 30 mile radius of home . If anybody is thinking of going full-time  please consider things like having to get water on a daily basis, using and emptying your toilet ,buying food on a daily basis you cannot sensibly stock up with a weeks worth of food and carrying a tons worth of tinned food is a no no becouse of the weight. Another important thing is if going solo are you happy being by yourself if not do not even think about living like this you have to be 100 hundred percent happy in your own company.

 Believe in today your life is now live it your way.

Spent a very wet weekend here at Westwood Hoe the wind was that powerful it move my van at least 3ft in 3 to 4 hours .I ended up putting my wheel blocks under the front wheels here are a few small video's for you .

Hi everybody just to let you know what's been going on in the last few days I have been putting in a few LED lights in the van one replacing  one of a set of three on the ceiling. And the one under the units over the cooker this one  eliminates the shadows I was getting
with the two down lights .Another thing I'm working on is rewiring the speakers in the living area which are at present wired to the stereo in the cab and can only be used with the ignition on .I intend to put a small sound system in the living area and wire in a TV as well. I have routed the wires and drilled a few small holes has to where  I will site the system  I now need to find the correct size TV and sound system.

Received my fishing gear on Sunday went fishing  off  barrel rock in bude bay  Monday had no luck Tuesday, wendsday no luck Thursday things happened.
First I fell on the rocks taking the skin of my left elbow and hip then I sprain  my wrist making it in possible to cast.

So now it's Friday am sat in the van sore hip,wrist elbow and full of a cold to boot and it's not stopped raining for four days  the only good thing is am on my second bottle of JD it's not helping but life's tuf must solder on. Hi all just a quick update am off the camping site now and in a layby that i have used for a while now? It's raining cats and dogs and has been for the last 12 hours now .
I am doing a little bit of house sitting for the next few days so will be still sleeping in my van but on private property again this makes the nights a little more relaxing.

A good weekend spent on the campsite

I have had  a good restful weekend on a campsite it's  also given me the chance to test all the  240 volt sockets ,hot water  plus the heating system plus it's allowed me to boost the starter and the lesure battery.
Glad to say every thing is fine this something i think will be a good idea to do on a monthly  basis especially over the winter months the money I save by sleeping in laybys for the rest of the month will more than cover a long weekend  on a campsite each month.

Spent the morning at Stonehenge nice to see once in a life time but not that much going on .

Worth waiting For.

Man found crying sat on top of white horse

I found this 60 year old man crying while I was out walking on the ridge at the top of the white horse on Salisbury Plain.
So I sat beside this chap and asked why are you crying there is aways a way of shorting problems out you just have to look a little harder .His answer was for 60 years now i have lived  my life doing what I wanted when I wanted but not knowing what I really wanted.
I have been selfish and hurtful walking a way from a wonderful wife and 3 buitiful children with out so much as a buy ur leave and without knowing why I could do such a cruel thing. I have only  loved  one other who thought it would be funny to rip the remaining  heart and soul out of this confused and misunderstood  man I took this as serving my penance for being cruel and hurtful. I have watched other children grow up into buitifull young adults  I have tried to make amends by being frendly and kind to others and not being scared of sharing my feelings to others that  i felt attached to. Drying his eyes the man turned to me and said I have meet many great  men and many  great ladies in my time and most will go on living unnoticed
And you are one of them ? my tears are tears of happiness.
That man crying was Me.

My tea for tonight

This is my nosh for tonight pheasant breast ( road kill ) rolled in black pepper and chilli flakes . Dry pan fried warped in tin foil along with  Sweet potato, dwarf beans,  carrots  and parsips drizzled with a pepper Sauce total cost about 60 pence.

The 1812 overture

While driving down the A14  I had a great rendition of the 1812 overture made solely by my van.? Let me explain in my van I have 44 cuboards and draws 3 main doors 2 air vents and 6 lockers on the outside of the van. So every time I move the van I need to check that all the above are surcurely shut or locked. Are you getting  the zest of things ?. In the 1812 overture there is the  part where  the cannons are fired and the simbuls crash well if you leave 4 over head lockers open and the knife draw open you get the same effect.

I now get some washing done  at this moment I'm parked up in a layby having my 4th fag and a little drop of JD.

Southwold

Spent the morning (Saturday ) in Southwold  the beach huts are brilliant and there's  loads of them now this is the place to visit. It a nice busy town I would recommend anybody that visits to call in at the two magpies bakery try their  sausage and apocot rolls, and a slice of passion fruit flan it's to die for cost about the same as a weekend away but worth it.
