Cold Last Night @ - 6 inside the cab.

Last night was the coldest night that I have experienced while being in this van at -6  in the cab area and that was with the windscreen curtains drawn and my cab living space curtains drawn.
I did not put the silver screens on but i will do so infuture
I, however, do remember a colder night and a good few years ago when I had a 30-year-old Renault traffic pop-top camper van which was nearly all windows and had no real installation it did, however, have a good little wall mounted gas fire, It was Christmas night/morning and I was doing some sea fishing at Rhyl in north Wales. it was so cold that all the windows froze over this was with the gas fire and the engine running.
I knew that if i did not move and get off the sea front there was a very good chance of me freezing to death I was truly scared for my life I was unable to open my hands to remove the coffee cup and had to push the cup from the base to free it using the gear lever.
If not for the fact that I was wise enough to get the van running when I stopped Night fishing I don,t think I would be writing this now. Nethermind warmer weather is on the way.

My New Temporary/permanent shower.

Whats your shower like in your van /motorhome.  At the moment my submersible pump has given up the ghost so drawing any hot water is impossible I would have to take the water tank off in order to replace it so at the moment that,s a no-no.
What i have done is bought a fence sprayer from B&Q for £17.00 this works better than the van shower ever did and only uses 3.5 litres of water ( it does hold 5 litres) to give you a 6-minute shower no more soaping yourselves up before getting into the shower.
Ok, i have to heat the water on the stove first but that's not an issue, you pump up the pressure in the fence sprayer and off you go this does work surprisingly well plus you could use it for washing off your dog or cleaning your windows and even washing your wellies.

My New Guinness Harmonica

Come across this  Guinness Harmonica while shopping just had to get it.

Computer Now Shorted Again.

I have now sorted out the problem with my computer yet again next time will be the last I'm fed up of getting stressed out over something that is easily solved I don't need the computer to live my life ( if thy eye offends you pluck it out! ). I also now have a small backup computer it won't run power-hungry programs like my editing suite but will allow me to keep my notes and edit my blog which really is an open diary.
If I was making money from my blog and youtube I would put things into perspective and have a professional set up along with a proof-reader to short out my bad English and Grammar. I have been running my blog for a few years now and only have only eight followers I put a lot of time into writing, videoing, and adding photographs to the blog for what?.
The youtube channel is better with about 200 followers plus I do enjoy putting my videos on, I did this mainly for my self at first.
The videos were originally private and just for a visual private journal of my travels at the time I was considering writing an E-Book but the first computer problem in my second year put a stop to that when I lost over 12 months worth of edited photographs and written work intended  for the E-Book nobody to blame but myself for not backing up my hard drive suppose I could use the contents of the blog to kick start the E-book again.
I really would like a bit some feedback on my blog is the layout right can you easily navigate around  the blog with out getting totaly confused is the content veried enough and what would you like to see more of ie music, out and about, how i live daily in and around the van. or some fix it and problem sloving videos

The Drive from Davidstowe to Callington and beyond

Sorry for having no notes on my time in Bodmin I did write quite a lot ( well a lot for me anyway)  about my time on the moors and some of the places I visited but I have yet again got a problem with my F**kin computer I have managed to save some of my videos and notes this time but only the ones from the dash cam at least you will see the drive through the rest have gone to Video Heaven .

Quick notes updates
I have ordered two more batteries for my drone this is a better option and cheaper than upgrading my drone I also have found a way to take the landing gear off as well this will make it a lot easier to carry around when hiking. At least now it will fit into a backpack I still like the idea of a foldable drone maybe next year.

Went to the Jamaica Inn for a Sunday carvery the cost was a reasonable £12.00 plus £4.50 for a pint of the black stuff the Guinness was wonderful and went down well, however, the carvery was well below parr food was cold there was plenty of meat on your plate but little else. I have most certainly eaten much better for less cost one of the best around places around here is the Red Post Inn near Bude.

At the moment I am sitting alongside and above the A30 counting the amount of Motorhomes, Campervans and Van conversions heading further down south I'm up to 150 in the first hour and a half of being here.
Yesterday I managed around a 15-mile bike/walk along some of the back roads into the hills, unfortunately, the videos were lost in the incident with my computer.

The  Drive from Davidstowe to Callington and Beyond
I started off from Davidstowe along the A395 stopping at the Hidden Valley this looks like a good place to take the kids for a day out being out of season I was not able to see much.
After my shortstop, I got onto the A30 and then onto the A388 driving past Hexworthy and Treburley into the main town of Callington more like a large village really. A  nice church a pub and a CO-OP and a few other small shops still nice enough for a stop.
I then got onto the A390 towards Liskeard now I'm turning onto the B3254 this is where the roads start to get narrow and twisty and I start to get out of my comfort zone heading up and past a few English Heritage Sites namely Trehevy Quoit, King Doniert,s Stone along with Golitha Falls and the Hurlers Stone Circles.
Carrying on I drive through the Caradon Mining District stopping at a place named Congdon,s Shop for a rest and a welcome cup of tea then onto the B3257 and the A30 towards Bolventor.
Bolventor is where the world famous Jamaica Inn Stands to me this Inn is now being overdeveloped and starting to lose its real charm and character a good place for my stopover though.
In the morning took a drive to Colliford lake only about four mile from the Inn nice for a walk I was told there is a cafe somewhere near the lakeside now from there I moved into Bodmin Town a quick walk around the outskirts plus a bit of shopping at Morrisons, and Halfords now back to my van.
Making my way back towards the Jamaica Inn I stopped off at Bodmin airfield watched a few light aircraft land and take off, now for a drive onto the moors finding even narrower and twister roads I was well out of my comfort zone yet again.
Had enough now so retracing my drive to get off the moors about 2 miles into the drive of the moors I had a tailback of about 5 cars so doing the right thing I pulled over into a small passing place and let them on their way.
Big mistake I was only about 300 meters from my turning, I found myself bogged down in the loose gravel 15 minutes later managed to get myself going so much for doing a good Deed not be doing that again.

Living Under The Radar Can You Cope With Total Isolation.

I have spent the last 7 days In total Isolation with no communication with the outside world and the feeling of being at one with yourself is unbelievable.
No TV or radio just me and my thoughts making my own music doing whatever I felt like doing, this has made me more aware of how wonderfully stress-free and how easily you can make a life for yourself.
I certainly don,t think you have to make a life-changing move like I did to obtain a better lifestyle for yourself although a life-changing heart attack does make you more aware.
I would say it better to know what you're looking for before you jump into anything  this is where researching all things related to a nomadic life style can come in helpful  there is so much good and bad information on the internet you also need to look at the laws about vagrancy, homelessness, being a continuous traveller, notice I have not used the term (Living in a van). This becomes very complicated when looking for insurance you will also need a contact address of some short for lawful purposes you will never lawfully get totally under the radar nowadays Although?

FOUND ON THE INTERNET.

CLEAR AS MUD ??.

Last year I had a friend phone me to tell me he wanted to live the same lifestyle as myself asking questions about the cost of living this is such a hard question to answer my needs versus your needs etc.
It turned out that he had played away? and his wife of fewer than 12 months found out I don,t know if anything has developed I only hope he did not rush into making a rash decision.
We all come to crossroads at some time in our lives do you turn left or right only you can make that decision. I personly feel better, look better, eat better food and generally live a much healthier lifestyle
